Real Madrid transfer news: Florentino Perez plans €700 million spending spree, Koulibaly to Madrid and more.

Real Madrid eye Koulibaly move
It’s no secret that Real Madrid are struggling defensively this season. Los Blancos have conceded 23 goals in the La Liga and are ten points behind table-toppers Barcelona. Their only reliable central defender is Raphael Varane and even the frenchman had a shaky start to the season.
As a result, it won’t be shocking to see Real Madrid make a move for a renowned defender to solve their defensive crisis. The Galacticos are not known to sign defenders for big money but with Sergio Ramos turning 33 soon the Blancos need to find a replacement who can lead the defensive line.
According to reports from Il Mattino, Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly. Los Blancos face stiff competition from Barcelona and Manchester United in acquiring the services of the Senegalese defender.
According to the Italian outlet, Napoli see him as untouchable will not accept any offer under £100 million.
The 27-year old is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the world, but Real Madrid are unlikely to pay that much for someone who’s in his late 20s unless they’re desperate for the player.

Real Madrid to sign Palacios
The stories linking Exequiel Palacios to Real Madrid had seemingly cooled down once it was apparent that Los Blancos were keen on bringing Man City prospect Brahim Diaz to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the Argentine’s agent has added fuel to the fire with his revelation.
According to Palacios’ agent, Renato Corsi, Real Madrid will be making a formal offer for the 20-year old in the upcoming days and also revealed that the negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
“The leaders of river got together with Real Madrid in Abu Dhabi”, Corsi said.
“In the coming days there will be a formal offer and the operation is quite advanced”.
Corsi went on to add that Palacios and his family would want the Argentine to move to Madrid in the summer instead of January itself, staying at River on loan for the rest of the season. Los Blancos are open to loaning him back to River Plate until the end of the season.
“The family, Exequiel and I want him to go in June and Real Madrid don’t have a problem with him staying at River until then.
Corsi concluded by stating that – “Real Madrid want him and supposedly river will sell”.
The acquisition of the Argentine midfielder is bemusing, following the recent arrival of Brahim Diaz. However, that could mean one or more midfielders could be sold in the summer.

Florentino Perez planning €700m spending spree
According to reports from Don Balon, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is preparing for a summer renovation of the club with multiple departures and numerous signings.
According to the report, David Alaba is the favorite to replace Marcelo, who is keen on reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus. Marcos Alonso and Junior Firpo are also being considered. Also Theo Hernandez can provide a good backup option if he can perform at a high level in his loan spell in Real Sociedad.
In the centre back position, Matthijs De Ligt, Milan Skriniar and Kalidou Koulibaly are being targeted as a potential defensive reinforcements.
In midfield, one or more departures from the trio of Luka Modric, Tony Kroos and Matteo Kovacic are expected. Their potential replacements include the 20-year old Exequiel Palacios accompanied by a galatic signing like Eriksen, Pogba, Pjanic or Milinkovic-Savic.
In the wide areas, Neymar, Mbappe and Hazard are being identified as potential targets, while Isco, Bale and Asensio might be packing their bags.
Finally to lead the front line, Harry Kane and Mauro Icardi are potential targets while Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz are expected to be shipped out in the summer.

Diaz completes move to Real Madrid
Real Madrid have signed Man City youngster Brahim Diaz on a permanent deal which will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2025.
The rumored fee is reported to be around £22 million including add-ons and it includes a 15% sell-on fee which may rise to 40% if the player is sold to another Manchester club in the future.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Real Madrid have included a massive €750 million release clause in the Spaniard’s contract which is even higher than Lionel Messi’s €700 million release clause.
