Kylian Mbappe responds to Madrid links
Kylian Mbappe was again the star player when Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Guingamp 9-0 in the Ligue 1. The World Cup winner scored his 2nd hat-trick of the season and was in demand with reporters in the post-match scenes.
The Frenchman is under contract with PSG until 2021, but has left the door open for a possible move to the Bernabeu in the near future.
When asked about his future, Kylian stated – “I’m very happy with how things are going for me at Paris Saint-Germain, I’m under contract until 2021 and so now’s not the moment to think about anything else”.
“I’m fine here, but in football – and the future, you never know”.
Los Blancos were very close to acquiring the 20-year old in 2017 but were ultimately beaten by PSG to the signing of the player. The Frenchman, however, continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid, especially after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Galacticos are yet to replace the Portuguese International and while they search for potential replacements, Mbappe fits the profile to succeed the former Man United superstar and fill the void left by him.
Eder Militao set for Real Madrid move
eal Madrid and FC Porto’s Eder Militao have a verbal agreement in place which will see the Spanish giants trigger the €50 million release clause for the Brazilian, according to reports from AS.
The dynamic right-back has been linked with a move away from Porto throughout the January transfer window with Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United also scouting the 21-year old.
While there are reports that the Blancos have a verbal agreement with the player, the move is likely to take place in the summer with the Brazilian signing a deal that will keep him at the Bernabeu until 2025.
Real Madrid have stepped up their pursuit of the Brazilian due to interest from other clubs and the fear of increasing prices. The defender’s buyout clause will rise to €75 million in June this year.
Militao signed for Porto last summer from Sao Paulo, who had set a sell-on clause in the player’s contract, that will see the Brazilian side receive 10 percent fee on any future sale of the player.
Militao’s agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, had his say regarding the situation. He stated – “There is no possibility of the player leaving his current Club in the winter market”.
“We’re not ruling out his signing for Real Madrid in the summer”.
Update on Eden Hazard and Neymar situations
Eden Hazard and Neymar are two players frequently linked to Real Madrid ever since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to reports from Marca, the Belgian is inching closer to a dream move at the Santiago Bernabeu with each passing day. Talks over a new contract have been stalled between Eden Hazard and Chelsea after the Belgian reiterated the fact that he will decide his future at the end of the season. It is further believed that Hazard will be willing to move to Real Madrid if Chelsea miss out on a Champions League spot for the second time in three years.
Hazard’s contract expires in 2020 and it is being reported that Chelsea will be willing to sell the 28-year old for a fee of about €100 million if the Belgian decides not to renew with the Blues.
Meanwhile, reports from Don Balon suggest that Neymar is pressurizing Florentino Perez to make a move for the Brazilian. They further state that Neymar revealed he received three offers, one each from Man United, Man City and Barcelona.
Neymar has been reported to be unhappy in the Parc des Princes and pushing for a move to either Real Madrid or his former club Barcelona. While Real Madrid remain undecided between Neymar and Mbappe, Barca are believed to be ready to sell Phil Coutinho to help fund Neymar’s return to Spain.
The deal with Neymar seems to be a bit unlikely as he’ll cost the Galacticos in excess of €200 million, while Eden Hazard remains the favorite to move to the Bernabeu this summer as Real Madrid prepare for a massive overhaul of the squad.
